Contributing to the creation of a prosperous future

For over 75 years since our founding in 1949, Mikasa Sangyo has engaged in corporate activities supporting people’s prosperous and healthy dietary lives and the development of a recycling-based society, with “Health, Agriculture, and the Environment” as the pillars of our business.

After our founding as an agricultural chemical manufacturing and materials sales company aimed at supporting domestic agriculture, we expanded our business domains in line with the times by applying the “fine pulverization technology” we have cultivated in-house—which can refine solids down to micron-level particles—to other business areas, launching our recycled toner manufacturing business in 1986 and later expanding into the food processing business in 2003.
We currently operate with three main business segments: functional chemistry business, agriculture support business, and food processing business, with operations at 5 manufacturing plants and 15 sales offices and other locations.

On February 28, 2023, I assumed the position of company president, inheriting both management responsibility and the ideas of my predecessor.Our company’s strengths lie in our organizational culture that has consistently challenged itself to create new value by identifying market needs amid changing times, and in our self-driven employees who support this culture.
Under our new management structure, we plan to leverage our strengths, and focus on both deepening our existing businesses and developing new ventures to achieve further corporate growth. 
I believe that employees can demonstrate peak performance in daily operations only when they feel they have their own place within the company and experience both material and spiritual fulfillment along with a sense of security. I strongly believe that we must continue to be such a company for our employees. 
We will continue to contribute to creating a prosperous future through our corporate activities, driven by unflagging management efforts guided by the spirit of “sanpo-yoshi” (three-way satisfaction, i.e., good for seller, buyer, and society) that underlies our corporate philosophy.

Profile:
After graduating from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Tohoku University, Mr. Karasawa worked at ITOCHU Corporation, Endeavour United Co., Ltd., and Sojitz Corporation before assuming the position of Representative Director of our company.
