In addition to manufacturing white toner independently developed by Mikasa Sangyo, we manufacture and sell products using white toner for people with visual impairments (weak eyesight).
This toner can be used with conventional full-color printers, and printing can be done simply by replacing the cartridge.
Transfer onto fabric and resin materials is also possible by using special transfer paper.

The method of printing white text on black (dark-colored) backgrounds has been gaining attention in recent years as a low vision solution for people with visual impairments (weak eyesight).
*“Low vision” is a condition where vision is impaired for some reason, resulting in difficulties in daily life, such as difficulty seeing, sensitivity to glare, and difficulty walking due to narrow field of vision.

In addition to manufacturing fluorescent and phosphorescent toner independently developed by Mikasa Sangyo, we manufacture and sell products using fluorescent and phosphorescent toner.
This toner can be used with conventional full-color printers, and printing can be done simply by replacing the cartridge.
Items printed with fluorescent toner emit vivid light when exposed to black light. Phosphorescent toner has the property of absorbing and storing ultraviolet rays and other components of sunlight and artificial light, and then emitting light when it becomes dark. We are also focusing our efforts on applications such as playground equipment that utilize these characteristics.

[Fluorescent toner]

Color fluorescent toner that is chromatic under visible light and can emit the three primary colors of light in corresponding R (red), G (green), and B (blue) when irradiated with near-ultraviolet light.

[Phosphorescent toner]

Phosphorescent toner that continues to emit afterglow even after time has passed following irradiation with near-ultraviolet light (blacklight 365 nm).
Emits color as green and blue fluorescence. Afterglow time for printed materials is about 20 minutes for both colors.
Phosphorescent printing can be done on paper media.

Mikasa Sangyo provides and proposes relaxation spaces using printed materials made with our independently developed fluorescent and phosphorescent toner. Dreamy glowing fluorescent toner is said to make people active through visual stimulation, or conversely, to have a relaxing effect that calms the mind.
This type of relaxation is called “Snoezelen” (a Dutch term) and is widely used in medical and childcare settings.
We aim to broaden awareness of Snoezelen in Japan while collaborating with welfare facilities and public institutions.
