About our agriculture support business

The origin of our agriculture support business
“Abundant food” and “food safety” are inseparable, and both are important factors.
We at Mikasa Sangyo have been handling agricultural production materials since immediately after the end of World War II. Since the era of food shortages at that time, we have believed that “ensuring the necessary quantity of food is the first priority for food security.”
Our philosophy remains unchanged today, and we are working daily to support agriculture based on the principle that “our vital mission is helping to raise healthy crops.”
For a long period of over 70 years, we have been closely attuned to the agricultural circumstances of Yamaguchi, and we will utilize the unique strengths we have developed to guide agriculture toward success future.

Agriculture support record: Oishimase Farm

Oishimase Farm as a practical training ground
Oishimase Farm was created as a place to implement and verify, at our company, whether the direction of proposals and methods of utilization are appropriate for providing support and materials to farmers.
Here, we experimentally conduct greenhouse setup, test new materials, and so forth, which helps us provide useful advice to farmers.
We use this as a place for agricultural university students’ internships, and also grow onions and potatoes in the nearby farmland, which is used as an experience farm for local kindergartens.

Oishimase Farm Co., Ltd.
We grow several varieties of strawberries in vinyl greenhouses that our company has set up, utilizing fields on the way from Shin-Yamaguchi Station to Kirara Beach. Currently, many visitors enjoy this as a tourist farm offering strawberry picking.
